Sunday Save Your A$$ Parlay: 2023 Open Championship

Sunday Save Your Ass Parlay

What’s up, Golf Addicts?

Money Marg here and we are cruising through the first round of the Fedex Cup Playoffs. The first three rounds of the St. Jude Championship has seen scoring come in bundles. Saturday’s highlight was Justin Rose firing a 9-under 61 to vault him up the leaderboard in this no-cut event. Golf’s best are showcasing their skills in their attempts to crack the top-50 in Fedex points for next week’s BMW Championship. With one day remaining, the chasers will need to get some early birdies on the card to put some pressure on the leaders.

A Repeat for Lucas Glover?

The TJ team has horses all over the board this week. Lucas Glover has not looked back after his win last week in North Carolina. He leads the pack, one shot clear of Taylor Moore and two shots clear of Tommy Fleetwood. Jordan Spieth and Max Homa are 3-back of the lead and can put some early pressure on the leader as well.

If you read Let’s Go Juicin this week, you’ll know I have Rory as the winner along with Viktor Hovland to finish top-10. Both sit at 9-under par and need big days to get in contention. Unless Glover has some trouble early, the pack will need to fire at least 6-under par to win this week. While it might be tough for this to happen, there are plenty of opportunities to cash in some winning bets on this final day. For this week’s Sunday Parlay, I’m targeting three golfers who have been hitting the ball well all tournament (and in recent weeks). These guys have been hitting fairways and greens and putting well.

Finishing Position Picks to Parlay

Top 5: Max Homa (+100 DraftKings)

Max Homa has seemed to have found some form again recently. We’ve seen him crack the top-20 now in a few tournaments and he’s been trending coming into the playoffs. On the week, Homa is third Tee-to-Green and is hitting fairways, which is needed to avoid the water trouble this week in Memphis. Homa also has the putter in a good groove and is gaining on the field. Currently sitting tied for third, I like Homa to continue his strong play and finish top-5.

Top 10: Russell Henley (+190 DraftKings)

Russell Henley has been in the mix for a win a ton in recent weeks. Despite a weather delay shaking up his week in North Carolina, he was a few holes from beating out Glover at the Wyndham. Henley has continued his good play in Memphis. He is gaining a stroke per round on the field with the putter and is top-5 in fairways gained this week. If the irons can get a bit more locked in, I like Henley to get some birdies on the card and push for a top-10 finish.

Top 20: Si Woo Kim (-110 DraftKings)

Si Woo Kim has followed up a great season on Tour with a solid first week of the playoffs. On the week, he is 7th in Ball-Striking and leads the field in Fairways Gained while being second in Greens In Regulation. If Si Woo’s putter heats up on the final day, we know he has the chops to chase down the leaderboard and secure more points heading into the final week. I love Si Woo to get us a top-20 and finish the week strong in Memphis.

Max Homa

The St. Jude Championship Sunday Parlay: (+1007 DraftKings)

Enjoy the final day in Memphis. While some players might be out of the mix for a win, the point structure matters massively this week. Look for golfers who are on the bubble of the top-50 to push for some points and be aggressive. GET YOUR PICKS IN ON DRAFTKINGS SOON TO GET THE BEST ODDS FOR THE SUNDAY PARLAY. TAKE THOSE UNITS BACK!
