Sunday Save Your A$$ Parlay: 2023 Memorial Tournament

Sunday Save Your Ass Parlay

What’s up, Addicts?

Money Marg back this week to throw down the Sunday Parlay for the 2023 Memorial Tournament. It’s been a great first three days at Jack’s place and the leaderboard has flip-flopped countless times since Thursday. The course is proving to be as tough as we predicted and what we’ve become accustomed to at Muirfield Village. There are over 20 golfers within 3 shots of the lead, so Sunday is shaping up to be an all-timer for this newly designated PGA Tour event.

A PAcked leaderboard at Jack's Place

So far in Dublin, Ohio this week, we’ve seen three different round leaders in three days. There are birdies and eagles out there, but double and triple bogeys are lurking around every corner. No lead has been safe this week and there are some gusts expected later in the day on Sunday to shake things up for the top of the leaderboard.

Rory McIlroy is currently tied for the lead with David Lipsky and Si Woo Kim. Somehow Rory was able to cash in a spot in the final group on Sunday despite losing a stroke to the field ball-striking on Saturday. I’m not too optimistic about Rory if he is spraying the driver in the final round, especially with the group chasing him down. This week, I’m targeting 3 elite ball-strikers to cash some finishing positions for us. All have great course experience, can grind out wins, and have shown they can go low when it counts.

Finishing Position Picks to Parlay

Top 5: Patrick Cantlay (+190 DraftKings)

Paddy Ice hasn’t helped himself much this week on the greens and somehow sees himself two back of the lead. This week, Cantlay is leading the field Off-The-Tee and in Greens in Regulation. He is also 2nd in Ball Striking. In addition, he’s been lights out scrambling around Jack’s place all week. If the putter heats up on Sunday, Cantlay should not only Top-5, but he should contend for his third win at Muirfield Village.

Top 10: Jon Rahm (+180 DraftKings)

If you read Let’s Go Juicin this week, you know I was bullish on Jon Rahm. Currently sitting at -2 and 4 strokes back of the lead, Rahm just hasn’t been able to cash in on the greens. He leads the field in Approach and Ball Striking this week but has not been able to convert those shots into birdies. I like Rahm to catch fire on a course he knows well and give the leaders a scare on Sunday. I will also be taking this bet straight up.

Top 20: Jordan Spieth (-165 DraftKings)

A few weeks removed from a wrist injury, Spieth has been lurking on leaderboards since, and I loved the spot for him this week at the Memorial. Three strokes back coming into Sunday, we all know Jordan has all the shots in his bag to win, especially if the putter catches fire. This week, Spieth is top ten Tee-to-Green and Ball Striking in addition to being top five in scrambling and bogey avoidance. I love him to maintain his position and would love to see a classic Jordan Spieth performance en route to a win.

Cantlay and Jack

The Memorial Tournament Sunday Parlay: +1204 on DraftKings

The final day of Jack Nicklaus’s Memorial Tournament is setting up to provide some late drama and elite golf. This will be the last test for some of these golfers before the US Open and all facets of their games need to be on point. If your pre-tourney bets aren’t panning out thus far, save your betting week and hammer this parlay! Round 4 kicks off just before 8 am EST on Sunday so make sure you shop your lines and TAKE THOSE UNITS BACK!
