Pure Silk Championship 2021 Betting Picks

After a week off for the tour we are back. Last time out in Thailand we saw Ariya Jutanugarn fire off a Sunday 63 to take the one stroke victory over Atthaya Thitikul to secure her first win since 2018. I’m not at all gonna mention that for a second week in a row we had the leader on Sunday get beat by a chaser making their way to the victory. Nope. Not mentioning it.

Anywho we move onto the Pure Silk Championship at the Kingsmill River Course. The Par 71 is a Pete Dye design where this tournament has been held every year except for two years since 2003. Look for the winning score to be in the mid teens as it has been the last few years outside of Lexi setting the tournament record for scoring at -20 in 2017. As always whoever golfs their bal better than the field will have the best chance to win. Let's have a week!

25/1 & lower

Nelly Korda - 7/1 (DK Sportsbook)

NELLY! What can I say. I could really put her in this article everytime she tees it up. Her game is really rounding into a place where she can be very dominant when it comes to winning on the LPGA tour. She also has an argument for the best looking swing on ANY tour.

Ariya Jutanugarn - 14/1 (DK Sportsbook)

Coming off a win in her last start we now return to a place where she has had two wins in the past four years and as with Amy Yang last week she has those wins every other year since 2016 so it's just up to deciding if it's the win year or off year without the tournament last year.

25/1-70/1

Amy Olson -28/1 (PointsBet)

Since the start of the 2021 season Amy has only missed one cut highlighted by a 2nd place finish at the Kia Classic. Last two times the event has been played she's finished 13th and 19th. It's a little shorter of a number than i'd like but i'll take the few extra points PointsBet is offering.

Xiyu Lin - 50/1 (PointsBet)

Lin hasnt had the greatest of history at this event but she comes off a really good stretch of golf where just two events ago she had her best finish on the LPGA tour with a 3rd. So she's still insearch of that first win BUT she is a two time winner on the Ladies European Tour so isn't exactly foreign to her

Long Shots

Pajaree Anannarukarn - 100/1 (PointsBet)

Next up Pajaree had a decent couple of events overseas going 23rd-13th. She did miss the cut in her first attempt her but i'll chalk that up to here only being 18 and fresh on tour at the time. She has never had a top 10 on tour so buyer beware.

Ryann O’Toole - 150/1 (PointsBet)

Outside of her missed cut at the Lotte Championship, she has finished no worse than 34th in her last six events. In 2017 she did come close with a 7th place finish here but the last two times out she has a pair of missed cuts.
