Ladies Scottish Open 2021 Betting Picks

Man oh man...I don’t know if there’s much more to say about what Nelly Korda has done this year. First win in the United States, First Major Championship and now Olympic Gold Medalist. Her second round 62,with the exception of the double on the 18th hole, might have been the single best round of golf (men's or women's) I’ve seen this year.

What really showed how impressive Nelly’s game and maturity currently is, was how she responded from the two chip shots she had roll back down to her ending up with a double on the 7th hole Sunday. She immediately put it past her and proceeded to birdie the next three holes. That would get her back into the round heading into the 18th tied with Mone Imani.

Mone would find the bunker on her approach shot and ultimately not be able to get up and down. Nelly only needed a par to wrap up the gold, which she made with ease. On a side note, the pure emotion these athletes show competing for their countries is amazing. Nelly tearing up during the National Anthem definitely was tugging at my heartstrings.

We find ourselves on a new course for the Ladies Scottish Open with Dumbarnie Links just a few minutes south of St Andrew’s in the heart of the home of golf. From the pictures I’ve seen, this course is absolutely stunning (you really should take a quick look). The Par 71 sits nestled against the coast and as y‘all know with these courses, have a look at the weather all the way up until lock as it could be key if any wave advantages arise. Other than that, the most important thing to remember this week is…whoever golfs their ball better than the field will have the best chance to win.

25/1 & lower

Atthaya Thitikul - 16/1 (DK $9800)

I’m gonna keep throwing Thitikul here while her number is still semi-bettable. She once again found her way into the top 5 at the Evian, firing off a Sunday 65. That’s it have nothing else to say, she’s a strong play this week

Amy Yang - 25/1 (DK $9200)

Another player we were on at the Evian. Yang's game has been trending quite nicely after her WD a few starts ago, three top 10s I’m a row, two of which in Major Championships. Seeking her first victory since 2019.

25/1-70/1

Yealimi Noh - 30/1 (DK $8700)

Noh shared the first round lead with Anannarukarn at the Evian and well this reasoning worked out well for us last time that we used it in this article so why not try it again?

Chella Choi - 65/1 (DK $7600)

Started out strong with 65-69 at the ISPS Handa. Unfortunately a Sunday 73 would send her down the leaderboard as the three tied for the lead pulled away. If she can find a repeat of the first two rounds this week, look out.

Lauren Stephenson - 65/1 (DK $7400)

An article mainstay this season. Lauren has been playing the best golf of her career in the recent weeks. She just has a different level of confidence right now. This may not be the event she grabs her first win at but I've seen crazier. Hell DB has triple digit odds hits in a row, I rest my case.

Long Shots

Stephanie Meadow - 125/1 (DK $7300)

Only player on the card coming over from Japan, after a first round 72 she would shoot up the leaderboard with rounds of 66-68-66 to end up with a solo 7th. Traveling back across time zones doesn’t concern me as much as losing time travel. Let’s see if she can carry this performance over.
