The 2023 US Open Betting Favorite Cross Sport Parlay
What’s up, Golf Addicts!
Money Marg here, and we are deep into US OPEN week! Los Angeles Country Club is the host for this year’s carnage and the heavy hitters have shown up ready to attack. Annually known as the toughest test of Major Championship golf, the US Open has been known for its fast and firm conditions, narrow fairways, and long, thick rough. Tour Junkies’ writer, Nate Dog, broke down the course in this week’s Rundown, so you should have a good idea about what to expect prior to firing your picks this week. The continued drama surrounding the sport and the always treacherous course setups should make this year’s Open a memorable one for the fans and bettors.

To Putt or Not to Putt
Scottie Scheffler comes into this week as the odds-on favorite. The Texas Longhorn has been on a ball-striking tear of late. His historic pace has seen him contend almost every week, but he has had to manage a cold putter of late and there are rumors he will be changing putters for this week’s major. I think Scottie is going to be there again come Sunday, but at +600 I think that the price is too expensive, even with the Juice.
Former US Open champions, Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka, and Rory McIlroy are in the field and all come in with good form and fit the mold of the player that could win this week. UCLA Alum Patrick Cantlay and PGA Championship runner-up Viktor Hovland round out the favorites in LA this week. The golfer I’m targeting this week is an elite ball striker and former champ. I not only expect him to contend but he could win by multiple strokes on Sunday.
OUR OUTRIGHT FAVORITE FOR THE US OPEN
BACK TO THE BROOKSIE WELL!
My bet this week to win the US Open is none other than Brooks Koepka. I am all in on Brooksie this week and he’s shown nothing that should tell me otherwise. The ball-striking is elite and his short game and putting probably makes him the best all-around option, Scheffler included. In these tough setups, Brooks always comes prepared to attack the course and intimidate those he plays with.
Over his last 12 rounds, Brooks is 6th in Proximity to the hole from 175-200 yards which will be critical this week at L.A.C.C. During that time, he’s also in the top 10 in SG: Short Game and Putting. Looking further out and on courses with difficult scoring conditions, Brooks leads the field in proximity (175-200) and is also in the top 10 in SG: Ball-Striking over his last 36 rounds. I’m comfortable riding the Brooks heater this week, especially with some course comps to Augusta National where he has a good history and finished 2nd this year. Let’s ride the hot hand to a 3rd US Open and 6th Major Championship for Brooksie. Now Let’s Go Juicin!
Best odds for Brooks Koepka to win: +1200 on Fanduel
Cross Sport Pick to Parlay
This week’s juice takes us back to the UFC Octagon for the second straight week. Last week we nailed Charles Oliveira winning at UFC 289, but Tyrrell Hatton came up 1 stroke short of a playoff at the RBC Canadian Open. UFC Fight Night kicks off on Saturday and the main card is headlined by Middleweights Jared Cannonier and “The Italian Dream” Marvin Vettori. As most of you know, I regularly dream of Pizza, Pasta, and some fantastic Sunday Sauce so this week’s Juice bet was a no-brainer for me.
Vettori and Cannonier have been lurking near the top of the UFC Middleweight division for a while now. Both fighters’ most recent losses were in title bouts to current Champion, Israel Adesanya. Jared Cannonier is a striker who would prefer to keep the fight on his feet. He also has excellent technique and the knowledge to win fights by decision if needed. The Italian Dream is an excellent grappler with a background in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Vettori has improved his striking considerably and most recently won a unanimous decision against a talented middleweight Roman Dolidze. Both fighters are in excellent condition, but I like Vettori to win the fight by controlling the pace and getting Cannonier down to the ground.
The Pick: Marvin Vettori to win vs. Jared Cannonier at UFC Fight Night on 6/17 (-115 on DraftKings)
The Juice of the Week: +2330 on DraftKings
This week we will witness carnage on the golf course and in the octagon. The US Open and Vettori/Cannonier will be a grind for all competitors, and it will take talent, strength, and mental fortitude to crown a winner in both. There is always a ton of variance at the US Open so I’m sure we will see a mixed leaderboard and the cream will rise at the end. This week’s juice is Brooks Koepka to win at L.A.C.C. and Marvin Vettori to win over Jared Cannonier. (1 Unit to win 23.30). Get this parlay on your betting cards before the tournament kicks off Thursday morning.
