The Top of The Mexico Open Betting Board
Tony Looks to Double Up at Vidanta Vallarta
The event this year is sandwiched between the Cali and Florida swing, which hasn’t helped with drawing the worlds best. Reigning champ and Let’s Go Juicin Hero, Tony Finau is at the top of the betting board. Tony’s ball-striking numbers line up well here and the course history is fantastic. Recently, he’s posted some top 20 finishes at the Genesis and Farmers. The putter has been awful of late, which makes me hesitant to fire on him at an expensive number in an event that could turn into a putting contest.
While a majority of the world’s best are not in attendance, the field is filled with golfers who pound the ball off the tee, and make a ton of birdies. There are plenty of options that we can get some value on this week and maximize profit. The golfer I’m targeting this week checks all of the boxes and can make birdies in easy conditions.
OUR OUTRIGHT FAVORITE FOR THE Mexico Open
Jaeger Bombs His Way to First PGA Tour Win!
At this year’s Mexico Open I’m firing on a guy who is looking to break through for his first Tour win. Stephan Jaeger has put in his time with multiple wins on the Korn Ferry Tour. Of late, the German has been excellent off the tee and has more than enough ball speed to contend at this type of course. He is second in the field in putting from 6-20, which is a main category this week as we expect this to become a putting contest down the stretch. Finally, Jaeger Bombs, is top-5 in birdies per round and he also limits bogeys. Both stats will be critical in keeping up with the leaders this week at Vidanta.
He has posted two top-20 finishes in both appearances here and his recent experience in big boy events will serve him well to get the finish in Mexico. Fire up Stephan Jaeger to get his first victory at this year’s Mexico Open. Now Let’s Juice it Up!
Best Odds for Stephan Jaeger to Win: +2500 on DraftKings
Cross Sport Pick to Parlay
Our juice this week is in the octagon for UFC Fight Night Mexico. The MMA fire brand arrives in Mexico with a star-studded card filled with former champs and rising stars. The two fights I’m targeting are both on the main card. The first is Yair Rodriguez vs. Brian Ortega. Ortega has taken a lot of time off since his last fight in 2022. I love Yair in this fight. He’s gained valuable experience in his title fight against Josh Emmet and even though he lost, he went up against one of the best in Volkanovski for three rounds. The elevation and Rodriguez’s cardio is a plus against an older Ortega.
Brandon “Assassin Baby” Moreno headlines the card against Brandon Royval. Both lost their last fight to current Flyweight Champ Alex Pantoja, but Moreno took him to a split decision and looked sharp as ever. Assassin Baby is a skilled champ who can take a beating and land shot after shot on his opponents. While Royval is explosive, it will be very difficult for him to finish Moreno. Even though it’s a steep price. I like Brandon Moreno to win this fight outright and get himself a shot at regaining the flyweight title.
Best Odds for Brendan Moreno & Yair Rodriguez to win at UFC Fight Night Mexico: -265 (Moreno) on Fandiel & -155 (Rodriguez) on DraftKings
The Juice of the Week: +5638 on FanDuel
There will be fireworks this week at Vidanta Vallarta and UFC Fight Night Mexico in what will be a great weekend of sports for our neighbors south of the border. Moreno and Rodriguez are world class fighters and national pride along with title aspirations should motivate them to victory. Fire up Stephan Jaeger + Brandon Moreno + Yair Rodriguez to all win this weekend and cash us our first win of 2024!
