The 2023 Memorial Tournament Betting Favorite Cross Sport Parlay

Golf Addicts! What is going on?

Get those Buckeye Milkshakes ready! We are at Jack’s place for the 2023 Memorial Tournament. The heavy hitters are back this week to take on Jack Nicklaus’s unspoken ode to Augusta National in the form of Muirfield Village. You’ll know from Nate’s Rundown this week that the course has played difficult, both before and since the recent renovation. It will be a great test for the star-studded field as we get closer to the US Open in a few weeks.

The Charles Schwab Challenge was tough for us Juicers. Our outright pick, Collin Morikawa continued to play #betagolf and we missed our juice pick for the first time. The plan is to get us back on track this week and we’re going to be looking to the best to do it.

The field this year at Muirfield Village will be like years past, but the purse will be much higher as part of this season’s designated event format. I expect a tough test that will see the world’s best rise to the top at the end of the week. Scottie Scheffler and John Rahm come into the week as the undisputed best in the game.

Two-Time* tournament winner, Patrick Cantlay is in the field along with Rory, Xander, and Dublin, Ohio resident Jason Day rounding out the top of the betting board. Additionally, last year’s winner, Billy Horschel comes into this week in poor form, but we’ve seen course history lift golfers back into contention here before. The Memorial is one of my favorite tournaments of the year. There is a great variance of scores year to year and we’ve seen so many different types of golfers have success. The winning golfer will be strong off the tee, but we know this is a second-shot golf course. Approach to the green along with clutch putting will be critical.

OUR OUTRIGHT FAVORITE FOR THE MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT

Rahm's Revenge at the Memorial

This year at Muirfield Village, the betting favorite I’m targeting has been on fire this season. John Rahm comes into the week off the heels of a subpar PGA Championship but with his foot on the gas and strong analytics and course history to back him up. In addition, Rahm is eyeing down the number 1 world ranking spot and would love to regain the top spot at Muirfield, which he vacated two years ago during a mandatory Covid withdrawal.

Over his last 36 rounds, Rahm is 4th in the field in SG Approach and Putting, two categories that shine at Muirfield each year. In addition, he leads the field in Birdies and Eagles gained and is 6th in Bogey Avoidance. Rahms course history since the renovation has been stellar. He has a win in 2020 and prior to being forced to withdraw with a multiple-shot lead in 2021, he was on pace to break the Strokes Gained record for a tournament. Rahm is a killer and can bounce back quickly from poor performances which is why he will be my pick to win this week at Jack’s place. Now Let’s Go Juicin to get his odds up!

The 2023 Stanley Cup Finals begin on Saturday between the Vegas Golden Knights and Florida Panthers. Both teams are clearly clicking coming into the series. Florida has surprised many casual fans being the 8th seed and coming out of the Eastern Conference, but the team is experienced and the addition of Matthew Tkachuk has been critical to getting them to the next level. Jack Eichel has been everything Vegas hoped for, but the team can score on all lines, and Stevenson and Karlsson have scored clutch goals throughout the playoffs.

The series kicks off in Las Vegas and the crowd will be wild for the first Stanley Cup game in Sin City. I love the Golden Knights to win convincingly in game 1 over a rusty Florida team, which hasn’t played since May 24th. If Vegas can sustain Florida’s forecheck, it will be a long night for the Panthers. The puck line for the game is -1.5 in the Golden Knights’ favor. In addition to that, I also love the over for Vegas goals at 2.5. The Stanley Cup Finals are always thrilling for the viewers, and these two teams will be an exciting matchup that should make for good television over the next two weeks.

The Pick: Las Vegas Golden Knights to win by 1.5 Goals in Game 1 on 6/3

The Juice of the Week: +2407 on DraftKings

The next four weeks of the PGA Tour will be awesome with three elevated events in four weeks before the players rest up for The Open Championship and FedEx Cup Playoffs. There’s something inside of me that thinks John Rahm could take down another three or four championships prior to the year’s end. This week seems like a perfect spot for him to get that started. This week’s Juice is Rahm to win outright at Muirfield Village and the Vegas Golden Knights to win Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals by 1.5 goals. Get this parlay on the betting cards before the tournament kicks off Thursday morning!
