The 2023 3M Open Betting Favorite Cross Sport Parlay
What’s up, Addicts,
We’re in the final stretch of the season leading up to the Fedex Cup Playoffs. Contrary to previous years, we might actually see some bigger names in the next few weeks beginning now at the 2023 3M Open. This year, the playoffs include only the top 70 golfers in points so those outside the bubble need to finish well to get a ticket. This week the tour lands at TPC Twin Cities and if you checked out TJ’s own Nate Mo’s Rundown this week, you’ll know hitting the ball well Off-The-Tee is critical. Golfers will also need to navigate around the penal water to put themselves in good position. It should be an interesting week for storylines and scoring. Let’s try to capitalize and land some winners on the card.
The Top of The 3M Open Betting Board
The Tour Heads to the Twin Cities
Cam Young and Tony Finau have landed at the top of the betting board. Tony hasn’t been sharp since his victory in Mexico, but he comes in as the reigning champ and this is a track that favors his game. Cam Young, who’s been awful most of the season, has been starting to put it together, with good finishes at the John Deere and last week at The Open. Hideki Matsuyama and Sungjae Im round out the favorites this week. Deki has been solid and it looks like he’s healthy leading up to the playoff push. Sungjae’s form has been mediocre compared to what we usually see from him. This week I’m taking a golfer near the top of the leaderboard who has been consistent all season, has improved his putting tremendously, and is locked in with his ball-striking.
OUR OUTRIGHT FAVORITE FOR THE 3M Open
Big City Sepp
For this week’s 3M Open, I’m firing up Big Sepp Straka. I was originally leaning towards Cam Young, but Big Seppy’s form has been tough to ignore. Over his last 24 rounds, Sepp is 2nd in Birdies or Better % and Bogey Avoidance, which should bode well navigating around the penalty areas this week. The Austrian is also one of the few guys in the field gaining strokes across the board in his last 24.
At The Open Championship, the driver was locked in and I expect that to continue as he continues his hungry man charge toward the top of the Fedex Cup points list this year. Fire up Sepp Straka to win this week at the 3M. Now Let’s Go Juicin!
Best odds for Sepp Straka to win: +2500 at Fanduel
Cross Sport Pick to Parlay
This week’s juice takes us back to the Octagon for UFC 291. The MMA world comes together this Saturday night for the latest PPV matchups headlined by the BMF title fight between Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje. Poirier’s last fight came in November when he submitted Michael Chandler at Madison Square Garden. Gaethje on the other hand is coming off a fight, which he narrowly won against Rafael Fiziev.Â
The two faced off for the first time back in 2018 when Dustin Poirier won in four rounds. The fight was a classic and both needed ample time to recover after. Gaethje knows what he will need to do to get the victory and I think his maturity and improvement in technique will be a game changer and he will withstand the onslaught from Poirier and take the victory.Â
The Pick: Justin Gaethje to beat Dustin Poirier at UFC 291: +130 on DraftKings
The Juice of the Week: +5190 on DraftKings
When I looked at the Juice Bet this week, I not only thought both could win, but if I was ever in a bar brawl, I’d probably want both Sepp and Gaethje on my side. These weeks of golf are always good for gaining leverage on the books. The fields aren’t as strong and players often go misvalued. I think there is a serious argument to be made that Sepp should be the favorite this week so that’s why we are getting a bit risky and juicing a golfer over +2000 odds. Fire up Gaethje and Straka for a massive return this week. (1 Unit to Win 51.9)!
