ISPS Handa Invitational 2021 Betting Picks
We are back after no article last week but I will recap the picks the Nut Hut (which you really should sign up for) got later on. Back to The Evian. Where Minjee Lee came in and swooped up her first major championship and sixth LPGA victory. She made a MASSIVE Sunday run to chase down JeongEun Lee6 who was seven strokes ahead of her as they tee’d off. Lee6’s slow start brought the field back to her after she posted a 61 Friday setting the low round record in a major championship only to have that tied by Leona Maguire who also fired a 61 on Sunday.
Sorry got side tracked with some record setting facts. Minjee shot a seven under final round to force a playoff where she ultimately took the title. All in all late night golf is always a treat but boy did I need to catch up on some sleep.
Now after spending some time in the French alps we now head to Northern Ireland and the Galgorm Castle GC. This is the first time the event will be a fully sanctioned LPGA and LET event. They have played this tournament in the past but there has been a second course so I’m not gonna look too much into the winning scores. As for a skill set to win here? Your guess is as good as mine at the moment so, I'm gonna go ahead and say whoever golfs their ball better than the field will have the best chance to win.
If you want more of this great* content or just to chat with a bunch of wackos about golf you should join the Nut Hut. Me being technologically inept, I assure you I can get DB to put the sign up link -> HERE.
25/1 & lowerÂ
Atthaya Thitikul - 9/1 (DK Sportsbook)
The 18 year old Thai LET phenom who finished 5th last week on the back going 2,6,25,1,4,2,4 to start off 2021. Idk about you but that’s pretty decent and some may think this number is too low to bet but I think she wins so she’s on here.
25/1-70/1
Mina Harigae- 28/1 (DK Sportsbook)
The 69th ranked golfer in the world has been playing some solid golf lately with a runner up and a tenth in two of her last four starts and to find value this week is tough but she definitely presents a bit of a misprice in this field.
Parjaree Anannarukarn - 28/1 (DK Sportsbook)
Opened up last week with back to back 65’s to grab a share of the first round lead and second place through the 36 hole cut she stumbled a bit on the weekend with rounds of 72,71. To grab her second top 10 of the season.
Long Shots
Laura Fuenfstueck - 90/1 (DK Sportsbook)
This pick is a mixture of gut feeling, solid LET recent form and I like her last name. If someone knows how to pronounce that please tweet me.
Karoline Lund - 500/1 (DK Sportsbook)
There are way worse current form options at this number and the $6200 on DK. She’s got Top 26 finishes in 3 of last 5 starts with another made cut thrown in on the LET. Which id normally not look at but being a co sanctioned event and a lot of the Mid-Top LPGA players not here. It’s worth a peak.
Marcus’ FOMO Bets
