Bank of Hope Match Play 2021 Betting Picks
So after we have been peppering the leaderboard in this write up the last few events, last week we decided to vomit all over ourselves mom's spaghetti He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready To drop bombs, but he keeps on forgettin' What he wrote down, the whole crowd goes so loud He opens his mouth, but the words won't come out... Sorry, don't know where that came from anyways… Wei-Ling Hsu pulled off her first LPGA victory firing off a final round 68 to win by two strokes while a couple of big names in Jessica Korda and Moriya Jutanugarn failed to make up any ground with matching Sunday 70’s. (Side note: Just play the opposite sibling of who I write up. Win/2nd/3rd last few weeks if you did)
Now we get a little Match Play before the US Open next week. This week's course is one we should be a bit familiar with as it hosted the CJ Cup and a certain Match. That's right the ladies get to have some fun just outside of Vegas at Shadow Creek. The Par 72 looks to provide a challenge over this five day event. Winning this week will take a well rounded game just as it did with the men but remember as always whoever golfs their ball better than the field will have the best chance to win.
25/1 & lowerÂ
Hannah Green - 20/1 (DK Sportsbook)
Screw it, if Hannah is in the field I will be writing her up until she wins or DB fires me. Don't care about the number, this is a pride thing at this point.Â
25/1-70/1
Carlota Ciganda - 30/1 (PointsBet)
Carlota has been playing some decent golf over the last few events. 13th and 7th. She does have a bit of a tough pool draw having to play recent champ Ariya and Lauren Stephenson who has been putting together some good results lately (more later)
Gaby Lopez - 40/1 (DK Sportsbook)
Gaby has just as good of form as anyone else I've written up in this article. In an event that's Match Play i'm just looking for good form at good numbers. Doesn't hurt that she also has multiple LPGA wins under her belt.
Long Shots
Lauren Stephenson - 125/1 (DK Sportsbook)
Was I really gonna talk her up as a challenge to my 30/1 pick and not write Lauren up? 7th/12th/MC/28th her last few events. At this number I'll take a shot.Â
