Special Edition! Sunday "Saturday" Save Your A$$ Parlay: 2024 Farmers Insurance Open

Torrey Pines is beginning to show its teeth for this year’s Farmers Insurance Open. The North Course is behind us, and the South is proving to be the US Open track we all know and love. Day 3 saw all four leaders shoot even or worse and the field is well in striking distance. A few golfers stood out so far and will need to continue to grind out pars and birdie the few easier holes to push the leaders and take home the trophy. This should be an exciting final day so let’s cook up a parlay and save the betting week.
Finishing Position Picks to Parlay
Top 5: Thomas Detry (+210 DraftKings)
Thomas Detry has been consistent all week. If not for a double on his last hole of round three, the German would have three rounds under par and in prime position to win on the final day. Detry leads the field in birdies this week and is top-5 in greens in regulation. In addition, he’s gaining over three strokes with the putter on some of the tougher greens on tour. I like Detry to continue his pace, make minimal mistakes and cash us a top-5.
Top 10: Xander Schauffele (-140 DraftKings)
For our top-10 this week, I’m betting a course horse who can close and is one of the best all around golfers in the field. Xander Schauffele has dinked and dunked his way around the course this week and finds himself four back of the lead and hasn’t made many putts this week. I think that changes on the final day. This week, the X man is top-5 tee-to-green and ball-striking and top-10 in Greens hit, Fairways hit, and bogey avoidance. The putts will drop today and Xander will easily cash a top-10 and maybe win.
Top 20: Will Zalatoris (-250 DraftKings)
Flying under the radar this week has been none other than Will Zalatoris. Willy Z has looked like the difficult horse, major champion contending golfer, we’ve known over the past few years. In addition, we know that he was right in this tournament two years ago when Luke List won. On the week, Zalatoris is gaining strokes across the board, including gaining two with the putter. In addition, on day three, hit 16 greens on route to one of the rounds of the day. Sitting four back of the lead, I like Willy Z to continue his resurgence and cash a top-20 for us.

Enjoy the final day at Torrey. We saw the course fight back yesterday and bring a bunch of guys back into the mix.
